Our Workshops

Here at The Nook we pride ourselves on creating a cosy, welcoming atmosphere which we feel lends itself perfectly as a creative space. We love hosting events for our local community to bring people together and encourage creativity. As a creative bunch ourselves we love nothing more than being able to make you a hot drink and a bite to eat whilst you relax and enjoy participating in something different with like-minded people.

We work alongside a super talented bunch of creative folks including Cake&Thistle, Bobbin & Bloom and Little Acorn Pottery and others to bring you a diverse and fun range of activities ranging from cake decorating and pottery making to lino printing and painting.

Additionally to this we also host spoken word/acoustic nights as well as seasonally themed workshops for example Wreath Making. For more information please watch our Facebook & Instagram.

Bobbin & Bloom are a Lincolnshire based company who host a variety of craft workshops throughout the year. These could be anything from macrame to lino printing or wreath making to canvas painting. Jade's workshops are always a laid back, calm atmosphere with coffee, cake & great company. The perfect way to try your hand at something new and crafty with guidance in a safe, relaxed environment. You will have seen our stunning cakes by Cake & Thistle in pride of place, on the bar in The Nook. They are something our regulars come in especially for and finding out what this weeks cake flavours will be is something which brings much anticipation. Hannah's cakes look incredible and taste even better. If you keep your eyes peeled on her website/social media you will see we sometimes host cake decorating workshops with Hannah, who will teach you how to recreate your very own beautifully iced creations.  All equipment, and cake/icing is supplied so the only thing you need to bring is yourself. The Christmas workshop in particular always gets super busy and spaces are limited, so make sure to book in plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

Our pottery workshops with Little Acorn Pottery have really taken off this last year. We usually host one workshop per month but this is spread across two sessions. First off you come along and make your creation where Amanda will walk you through, step by step. Then she takes them away to air dry, for you to return two weeks later to paint & glaze your creation. She will then take them away again and fire them before returning them to you all beautifully packaged up. Each session lasts for three hours, so each workshop is 6 hours in total and it is the perfect way to spend a chilled Sunday/Evening. Seeing people collect their creations at the end is always our favourite part.
